The US Department of Commerce has concluded its administrative review of the antidumping order on circular welded carbon-quality steel pipe from Oman and determined that Al Jazeera Steel Products, the sole producer involved, sold the product below market value in the US.
This review covers sales made between December 1, 2021, and November 30, 2022, with Al Jazeera Steel assigned a weighted-average dumping margin of 0.61pct.
In response, Al Jazeera stated in a stock exchange filing that no significant financial impact is expected from the findings, as adequate provisions have already been made in the company’s financial statements to cover the anticipated duty rate. The company emphasized that it will continue to monitor the situation and issue further updates in line with legal requirements.
