In August 2024, Turkey’s rebar exports amounted to approximately 305,000 tons, reflecting a month-on-month decline of over 8pct and a YoY decrease of nearly 18pct, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Despite the monthly drop, Turkey’s rebar exports for the first eight months of the year rose by 4.7pct YoY, reaching 2.2 mln tons. The top three export destinations during this period were Yemen (423,000 tons), Romania (196,000 tons), and Albania (137,000 tons).
