Turkish steel producer Kardemir has announced updated rebar and wire rod prices in its latest price list.
The company is now offering rebar (12-32 mm) at TRY 22,000 (USD 642) per ton, up from TRY 21,500 (USD 628) per ton last week, based on an exchange rate of TRY 34.2 per USD.
Kardemir also raised wire rod prices by USD 40 per ton compared to the rates from September 19, 2024. The new prices are USD 665 per ton EXW for 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade wire rod and USD 655 per ton EXW for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company’s product portfolio includes blooms, billets, rebars, profiles, and various other steel products, with manufacturing facilities strategically located in Karabuk.
