Thyssenkrupp Aerospace and SKF have signed a two-year contract extension for the supply of steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and copper to SKF’s facility in Lons le Saunier, France. As part of this agreement, Thyssenkrupp Aerospace will also provide a range of services aimed at enhancing supply chain resilience and transparency to support SKF’s expansion plans.
These tailored services, developed in collaboration with SKF, include logistics, sourcing, quality inspection, and delivery management, all coordinated in real-time through a digital control tower created by Thyssenkrupp Aerospace.
In 2023, Thyssenkrupp Aerospace delivered a total of 187 tons of raw materials to SKF, with 180 tons already delivered in 2024, representing a 33pct increase compared to the same period in 2023 (January-July).
Thyssenkrupp Aerospace operates a global network spanning over 40 sites in more than 20 countries, providing customized supply chain solutions for the aerospace and defense industries. Its extensive client base includes over 3,500 customers, among them some of the world’s largest aerospace and defense manufacturers. The company offers services such as procurement of raw materials, warehousing, precision processing, third-party logistics, and just-in-time delivery.
