Turkey exported 2.5 mln tons of rebar in the first nine months of 2024, marking a 1pct YoY increase, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Yemen was the leading destination for Turkish rebar during this period, receiving 457,500 tons. Other major buyers of Turkish rebar included Romania (197,000 tons), Albania (165,000 tons), Ethiopia (124,700 tons), and Cyprus (113,300 tons).
In September 2024, Turkey’s rebar exports totaled 336,000 tons, a 17pct decrease YoY but a 10pct increase compared to August.
