Tenaris has been awarded a contract by Subsea7 to supply pipes and coating solutions for Petrobras’ Buzios 9 project in Brazil’s Santos Basin. Located 180 km (112 miles) offshore Rio de Janeiro, the Buzios Field lies at a depth of 2,000 meters.
The contract includes 102 kilometers of carbon steel pipes for risers and flowlines, along with thermal insulation coating. Tenaris will leverage its global manufacturing network, producing the pipes at its Dalmine facility in Italy, while the coating process will take place at Confab in Pindamonhangaba, Brazil.
