SSAB and Snop have entered a long-term partnership to deliver fossil-free steel, helping Snop reduce its CO2 footprint and achieve its target of a 30pct emissions reduction by 2030.
Groupe Financiere SNOP Dunois (FSD), a major tier-one automotive supplier, operates across 36 production sites in 12 countries, offering a wide range of products, including body structure stampings and roll-formed parts. The partnership with SSAB builds on their longstanding collaboration, covering all stages from sales to production, testing, and customer experience.
SSAB aims to reduce global CO2 emissions by transforming steel production, with the goal of creating a fossil-free value chain. In 2021, SSAB produced the world’s first fossil-free steel using HYBRIT technology, which replaces CO2 with water as a byproduct.
