The Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO) has announced the continuation of its exports to international markets.
The company recently began shipping 8,000 tons of rebar aboard the vessel SNAPPER, destined for Lebanon.
Additionally, LISCO is exporting 30,000 tons of hot briquetted iron (HBI) on the vessel named KNIDOS, bound for Portugal.
The company stated that these exports strengthen its international presence and demonstrate their commitment to producing high-quality products that meet global standards, while also supporting the national economy and maintaining its position in the local market.
LISCO’s annual production capacities are 1.75 mln tons for Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and 650,000 tons for HBI, with crude steel production capacity reaching 1.7 mln tons per year. LISCO’s product portfolio includes slab, billet, rebar, wire rod, HRC, CRC and steel sections.
