The Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO) announced two export shipments to Turkey and Morocco.
The vessel Gemini Capo is currently being loaded with 10,000 tons of Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) bound for Turkey, while the Hakki Aykin is taking on 5,000 tons of HBI for Morocco.
LISCO stated that these exports align with its strategy to expand its global presence and strengthen its position in the iron and steel sector. The company emphasized that its port continues to see steady exports, reflecting growing confidence in its products and its key role in meeting global demand.
LISCO’s annual production capacities are 1.75 mln tons for Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and 650,000 tons for HBI, with crude steel production capacity reaching 1.7 mln tons per year. LISCO’s product portfolio includes slab, billet, rebar, wire rod, HRC, CRC and steel sections.
