Vallourec, a global leader in premium seamless tubular solutions, has secured two significant contracts to supply Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) for drilling operations led by CNOOC and PetroChina in Iraq.
Valued at over USD 130 mln, the contracts cover the supply of carbon steel and Super-13Cr steel OCTG products equipped with VAM premium connections, the company announced. Deliveries are scheduled throughout 2025 and 2026, supporting Iraq’s expanding upstream activity.
Iraq, home to some of the world’s largest oil reserves, continues to attract major investment, with multiple super-giant oil fields under development. As drilling activity increases, demand for high-performance OCTG solutions capable of withstanding complex well environments are also on the rise, Vallourec said.
