A UAE-based manufacturer has received a fully automatic Bronx straightener from industrial engineering group Fives to support production ramp-up at its newly established tube mill, the company said in a press release. The client’s name was not disclosed.
The high-capacity machine is designed for seamless stainless steel tubes used in the oil and gas sector, capable of handling diameters from 3.5″ (88.9 mm) to 11.2″ (285 mm) and wall thicknesses up to 1.5″ (38 mm).
By replacing manual straightening processes, the new equipment significantly improves operator safety, production efficiency, and precision, key factors in meeting the region’s stringent quality standards, according to Fives.
