Lianxin Iron & Steel, a major private steelmaker based in Yancheng, Jiangsu, has ordered a Kocks Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB) 370++/4 in the latest 5.0 design for its new special bar quality (SBQ) mill line.
The RSB will serve as a finishing block after 24 H/V stands, enabling Lianxin to produce straight bars from 12 to 70 mm with high precision and flexibility. The company currently operates three rolling mills with a combined annual capacity of 4 mln tons.
Lianxin selected the Kocks solution for its proven 3-roll technology, tight dimensional tolerances, surface quality, and operational efficiency. The system offers fast stand changes, one-pass family rolling, and remote-controlled stand and guide adjustments. BAMICON Octopus software will support setup in the roll shop.
Commissioning is scheduled for Q3 2026, with Kocks providing installation, training, and ongoing technical support. The new SBQ line, with a 600,000 tons annual capacity, will supply high-grade products to demanding sectors such as automotive and machinery.
