Turkey imported 1.87 mln tons of HRC in the first half of 2025, down more than 8pct YoY, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
China was the leading supplier, shipping 709,500 tons, followed by Russia with 414,900 tons and Egypt with 243,500 tons.
In June 2025, Turkey’s HRC imports rose 5.5pct YoY to 288,530 tons but plunged 44pct compared to the previous month.
