Welspun Tubular LLC will invest USD 150 mln to build a Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW) line pipe mill and coating facility at its Little Rock, Arkansas site.
The project, expected to create 300 jobs, will strengthen the company’s ability to supply sectors including oil and gas, carbon capture, LNG export, and hydrogen pipelines, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission said.
This marks Welspun Tubular’s second major expansion in the state in as many years. In October 2024, the company announced a USD 100 mln upgrade to its High Frequency Induction Welded (HFIW) pipe plant, slated for completion in Q1 2026, creating 175 jobs.
Operating in Arkansas since 2007, Welspun Tubular has invested over USD 400 mln in its Port of Little Rock facility. It is a subsidiary of Welspun Corp Ltd (WCL), the flagship of India’s Welspun World, a global leader in large-diameter line pipes with operations across six continents and in 50 countries. WCL’s portfolio spans ductile iron pipes, stainless steel products, rebars, and building materials, supported by advanced manufacturing sites in India and the U.S.
