U.S. raises antidumping duty on rebar imports from Colakoglu

The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has released preliminary findings from its latest administrative review of antidumping duties on Turkish rebar exports.

Covering the period from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, the review concluded that Colakoglu sold rebar in the U.S. at prices below normal value. As a result, the DOC set a weighted-average dumping margin of 18.87pct, an increase from 1.13pct in the previous review.

The DOC also ended its review of Icdas and Kaptan Demir Celik, as neither company shipped rebar to the U.S. during the period. In the prior review, Kaptan and Icdas received dumping margins of 5.51pct and 3.76pct, respectively.
