Turkish steelmaker Kardemir kept billet prices unchanged in its latest sales round, matching the levels set on 24 July.
The company offered S235JR grade billets at USD 500 per ton EXW and B420 grade billets at USD 510 per ton EXW.
Market sources said significant volumes were sold, with sales closing shortly after opening.
Established in 1937, Kardemir is a key player in Turkey’s steel industry, with a 3.5 mln tons annual production capacity. The company manufactures billets, blooms, rebars, and profiles at its Karabuk-based facilities.
