Abu Dhabi-based Al Gharbia Pipe Company set a new monthly record in JCO pipe production in July 2025, producing more than 5,000 pipes with output exceeding 40,000 tons. This marks the company’s highest production level since operations began in September 2019.
The JCO process, used to manufacture large-diameter pipes from steel plates, involves three key stages: J-forming, C-forming, and O-forming, followed by welding.
Founded in 2015, Al Gharbia specializes in carbon steel LSAW pipes, producing sour service line and structural pipes ranging from 18 to 60 inches in diameter with wall thicknesses of up to 44.5 mm. The company is a joint venture between Abu Dhabi’s SENAAT (ADQ), Japan’s JFE Steel Corporation, and Marubeni Itochu Steel.
