Mexican steelmaker Tyasa has ordered a new bar finishing line from Danieli Centro Maskin, featuring a patented 60-ton pinion/rack drawing bench for its Veracruz plant.
The line will process bars ranging from 18 to 65 mm in diameter at speeds up to 35 m/min, ensuring high-quality finished products.
The new system will deliver superior surface quality, improved efficiency, and lower operating costs, with noise levels reduced by up to 50 dB and power consumption cut by 30pct. The supply package includes a loading area, shot blasting unit, double-strand drawing bench, cut-to-length unit, fully electric chamfering unit, non-destructive testing, and automated packing and unloading systems. Advanced Danieli Automation process controls will further enhance operational safety and ease of use.
All equipment will be manufactured at Danieli’s workshops, with startup scheduled for mid-2026.
