Pakistan’s steel scrap imports rose nearly 14pct YoY in July 2025, reaching 311,888 tons compared with 273,994 tons a year earlier, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data.
On a month-on-month basis, imports surged 65.5pct from June 2025.
For the first seven months of the year, total scrap imports climbed almost 10pct YoY to 1.82 mln tons.
