SteelAsia Manufacturing Corp., the largest steel manufacturer in the Philippines, announced that it has successfully exported more than 36,000 tons of rebars to Canada.
The Chairman and CEO of SteelAsia, Benjamin Yao, emphasized that these steel bars were manufactured using environmentally friendly production methods.
By harnessing the power of geothermal energy, SteelAsia has been able to recycle steel scrap and transform it into high-quality, infrastructure-grade steel bars, the company said.
With a presence in Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, SteelAsia operates three steel mills and boasts an annual production capacity of 3 mln tons.
