    Kardemir drops steel section prices

Turkey’s major steel producer, Kardemir has decreased steel sections prices, according to the company’s new price list.

The company’s latest price range for IPE-NPU (160-550 mm) now stands at USD 700-820 per ton EXW, representing a decrease compared to the previous range of USD 750-900 per ton EXW, which was in effect just last week.

Similarly, Kardemir’s new price range for HEA-HEB (120-500) is currently USD 745-875 per ton EXW, in contrast to the earlier price range of USD 825-955 per ton EXW.

This significant drop in prices can be attributed to the sluggish demand for steel both domestically and in international markets.

Kardemir, also known as Karabuk Demir Celik, was established in 1938 as a state-owned company and was Turkey’s first integrated steel producer. In 1995, the company underwent privatization. Kardemir specializes in the manufacturing of various steel products, including blooms, billets, rebars, profiles, and more. Kardemir’s production facilities are located in Karabuk, Turkey.
