Turkey’s scrap import prices continue to face downward pressure as the demand for finished steel remains lackluster.
Scrap import offers for the Turkish market are in the range of USD 365-370 per ton CFR, representing a decline of USD 5-10 per ton compared to the previous week.
In an attempt to stimulate sales, Turkish rebar and wire rod suppliers have lowered their prices. However, these efforts have failed to uplift the market.
Turkish rebar offers have dropped by USD 10 per ton, ranging from USD 590-600 per ton FOB. Turkish wire rod export offers now range from USD 605-615 per ton FOB, reflecting a decrease of USD 15-20 per ton compared to prices from the previous week.
