China’s crude steel output saw a 1.1pct increase in June compared to May and a 0.4pct increase from the previous year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
China manufactured 91.11 mln tons of steel last month, surpassing the 90.12 mln tons produced in May and the 90.73 mln tons produced in June 2022.
In the first half of the year, China’s cumulative ferrous metal production reached 535.64 mln tons, a 1.3pct increase compared to the same period last year, as indicated by NBS data.
