Italian steelmaker Acciaierie Venete has commissioned a second Danieli Centro Maskin bar-straightening line at its Padova Works in Italy, strengthening its finishing capabilities for special bar quality (SBQ) products.
The new line can process SBQ black bars with diameters of up to 200 mm and yield strengths of up to 1,200 N/mm2, providing improved straightness, dimensional accuracy and finished-product quality.
The line is equipped with Danieli Automation process control systems and Industry 4.0-compliant connectivity. It is also designed for future integration with Danieli’s Condition Monitoring System for predictive maintenance and artificial intelligence tools to support operators and maintenance teams.
The project follows the installation of a first straightening line of similar size and specification. Acciaierie Venete and Danieli completed the project successfully, with all acceptance tests passed to the customer’s satisfaction.
The new installation is expected to support Acciaierie Venete’s focus on product quality, operational reliability and production efficiency.
