Peruvian steel producer Aceros Arequipa has awarded Fives a contract to supply a complete OTO tube mill with integrated finishing equipment for its plant in Lima, Peru.
The new production line will manufacture tubes for construction and structural applications, with capacities of up to 40 mm in diameter and wall thicknesses of up to 2 mm. The scope of supply covers the entire production process, from the entry section through to packaging and strapping.
According to Fives, the mill will feature a high-speed automated packaging system designed to improve productivity and operational efficiency. The line will also incorporate advanced software solutions to support equipment operation and preventive maintenance, while reducing manual intervention and enhancing workplace safety.
