Achv Aceros has awarded Danieli Centro Tubes a contract to supply two advanced ERW tube mills for its new facility in Monterrey, Mexico.
These mills will manufacture welded structural tubes with yield strengths up to 800 MPa, with diameters ranging from 19 to 193 mm (3/4 inch to 7 9/16 inch), and equivalent square and rectangular sections, featuring wall thicknesses up to 7.3 mm (0.287 inch) and speeds up to 140 m/min (460 fpm).
The mills will be equipped with automatic coil loading, on-line metallization, eddy current testing, tube stenciling, a quick-change mill system, bundle packaging lines, and a full automation system. Set to be installed in Monterrey’s western region, these mills will cater to Achv Aceros’ established commercial network in Mexico.
The expected start-up date for the mills is by the end of 2025.
