AD Ports Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan’s Board of Investment to explore the development of an industrial zone near Karachi Port and Port Qasim, aiming to boost trade and economic activity, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
In addition to the MoU, AD Ports Group announced three separate agreements, leveraging its expertise across ports, economic cities, free zones, maritime and shipping, logistics, and digital services.
Under these agreements, AD Ports Group will collaborate with Pakistani partners to assess the feasibility of establishing an industrial and commercial hub near Karachi and Qasim Ports. The Group also aims to enhance Pakistan’s inland trade corridors into Central Asia by offering integrated logistics solutions, including warehousing and distribution across air, ocean, and inland transport.
The first agreement, between AD Ports Group’s Maqta Technologies and Pakistan Single Window (PSW), focuses on strengthening Pakistan’s trade facilitation systems in partnership with Pakistan Customs Services. The second, with Bahria Foundation, seeks to enhance dredging, marine services, and vessel pooling at Karachi Port. The third, a strategic partnership between AD Ports Group’s Noatum Logistics and its joint venture KGTL with Kaheel Terminals, aims to develop a trade corridor into Pakistan and Central Asia through comprehensive logistics solutions, including cold storage.
