Pakistan’s Agha Steel Industries reported a loss after taxation of PKR 4.74 bln (USD 17.1 mln) for the financial year ended June 30, 2026, compared with a loss of PKR 7.21 bln (USD 25.9 mln) a year earlier.
The company’s net turnover declined 21.4pct YoY to PKR 8.39 bln (USD 30.2 mln) from PKR 10.67 bln (USD 38.4 mln).
Finance costs fell 31.5pct YoY to PKR 2.88 bln (USD 10.3 mln), helping reduce the operating loss to PKR 6.02 bln (USD 21.6 mln) from PKR 7.05 bln (USD 25.4 mln).
Agha Steel operates an EAF-based plant at Port Qasim, Karachi, with annual production capacity of 450,000 tons of billets and 650,000 tons of rebar.
