Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) has been awarded the ‘Sustainable Product of the Year – Construction Material’ at the 13th Annual MENA Green Building Awards, organised by the Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC). The recognition was given for AGSI’s sustainable rebar and steel sections, part of its Net Zero Steel product range.
The award highlights AGSI’s measurable contribution to sustainable manufacturing and climate impact reduction, showcasing how material innovation and responsible production can support national and global Net Zero objectives. Supported by CARES, the internationally recognised steel certification authority, the distinction reinforces AGSI’s verified commitment to advancing sustainability standards in the construction and industrial sectors.
With its Net Zero Steel range, AGSI continues to drive the UAE’s transition toward low-carbon, circular manufacturing, aligning industrial growth with the nation’s sustainability goals. The MENA Green Building Awards celebrate innovation and leadership in sustainable design, construction, and operations across the region.
AGSI’s current production capacity includes 450,000 tons of billet, 360,000 tons of rebar, and 240,000 tons of light and medium sections annually.
