Al Gharbia Pipe partners with du to deploy AI solutions in manufacturing operations

Al Gharbia Pipe Company (AGPC), a UAE-based producer of longitudinally submerged arc welded (LSAW) steel pipes, partnered with telecom and digital services provider du to deploy Industrial AI Vision technology across manufacturing operations in the UAE.

The partnership, announced during Make it in the Emirates 2026, focuses on the development of an Industrial AI Vision Platform aimed at improving automation, quality inspection, traceability, and operational efficiency in manufacturing processes.

According to the companies, the platform includes AI-based quality inspection, real-time monitoring dashboards, visual analytics, and AI-driven operational insights covering logistics, fleet, and infrastructure management.

Established in 2015, Al Gharbia Pipe Company (AGPC) is a joint venture between Senaat (ADQ), JFE Steel, and Marubeni Itochu Steel. Based in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi, the company operates a 52,000-square-meter facility equipped with advanced automated systems. Since beginning production in 2019, AGPC has ramped up output to 360,000 tons annually, supplying carbon steel LSAW pipes, ranging from 18 to 60 inches in diameter, to oil and gas, industrial, and renewable energy sectors across the Middle East and beyond.
