Ashry Steel launches lighting poles and steel towers manufacturing facility

Ashry Steel Group has commenced operations at its new facility, Galfa Engineering Industries Factory, specializing in lighting poles and structural steel towers. The launch aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its position in the metal industries sector and support infrastructure development in local and regional markets.

The factory has a production capacity of up to 2,000 tons per month, manufacturing various types of lighting poles for streets, highways, squares, and stadiums, with heights reaching 30 meters. It also produces low and medium voltage power transmission towers, communication towers, and cable trays, making it a hub for large metal structures.

The facility houses the largest galvanizing plant in the Middle East, with a capacity of up to 10,000 tons per month, providing high-quality metal coating solutions for corrosion resistance and enhanced product durability. Built in collaboration with Italy’s Gimeco, the plant features advanced automation, ranking among the largest in the region in terms of size and output.

Founded in 1983, Ashry Steel is a leading Egyptian steel producer with an annual capacity of 2 mln tons. Its product range includes rebar, merchant bars, and ERW welded tubes.
