B5Plus Group has selected Danieli to supply equipment for a new rebar and wire rod mill in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), with production capacity of 50 tons per hour, or around 300,000 tons per year.
The mill will produce deformed rebar in 8-32 mm diameters and smooth wire rod in 5.5-16 mm. Danieli’s scope includes the rolling equipment and high-technology wire rod equipment, including the laying head and fast finishing block, which will be manufactured in Italy.
The plant will use integrated in-house automation systems to control rolling conditions and maintain product quality and operational efficiency.
The layout will allow future direct connection to a planned continuous casting machine, supporting greater integration of steelmaking and rolling operations.
Startup of the new mill is planned for Q3 2027.
