Bahra Electric and China’s Antaisolar have inked a deal to establish a joint venture (JV) company and factory in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The new facility will specialize in manufacturing solar trackers and mounting structures.
Leveraging Bahra Electric’s strong presence and its expansive 500,000 square meter factory in Jeddah, the JV factory aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 8GW by 2025, 15GW by 2026, and 24GW by 2027, as per the company’s statement.
The focus of this new venture will be on maximizing local content and addressing challenges in utility-scale projects, covering aspects from design and manufacturing to logistics and maintenance, the statement further elaborated.
