Beco Steel said it is in advanced discussions with an international client for an export order worth USD 22 mln for the coming financial year, according to a stock exchange filing. The company did not disclose the product or client.
The announcement follows the successful execution of a copper ingots export order to Hong Kong, produced from remeltable scrap sourced from its raw material stream.
Management expressed confidence that finalizing the new order will strengthen the company’s financial performance by boosting both sales volume and profitability compared to the current year.
Beco Steel also reiterated its long-term strategy of expanding international market presence while maintaining high product quality standards.
Lahore-based Beco Steel Limited is a public limited company incorporated in Pakistan in 1984. The company’s annual melting capacity is 99,400 tons and rerolling capacity is 99,000 tons per annum. The company produces billets, angles, channels, round and square bars.
