Pakistan’s Beco Steel reported a 179pct YoY increase in profit after tax to PKR 311.5 mln (USD 1.12 mln) for the financial year ended June 30, 2026, compared with PKR 111.5 mln a year earlier, according to the company’s financial statements.
Revenue increased 32pct YoY to PKR 9.86 bln (USD 35.6 mln) from PKR 7.45 bln. Gross profit rose 11pct to PKR 427 mln (USD 1.54 mln), while operating profit increased 6pct to PKR 267.7 mln (USD 0.97 mln).
Profit before income tax climbed 106pct YoY to PKR 370.5 mln (USD 1.34 mln) from PKR 179.8 mln (USD 0.65 mln). The improvement was supported significantly by other income, which rose to PKR 226.3 mln (USD 0.82 mln) from just PKR 0.4 mln in FY25. Finance costs increased to PKR 14.8 mln (USD 53,500) from PKR 5.8 mln.
Lahore-based Beco Steel Limited, incorporated in 1984, has an annual melting capacity of 99,400 tons and rerolling capacity of 99,000 tons. The company produces billets, angles, channels, and round and square bars.
