BP and Tenaris have signed a four-year agreement for the supply of casing and tubing, including 13Cr steel grade tubulars, along with technical support and field services for the Tangguh UCC project in Papua Barat, Indonesia.
The project covers the development of the Ubadari gas field, enhanced gas recovery through carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), and new onshore compression facilities, while leveraging existing infrastructure at the Tangguh LNG plant. It has been designated a national strategic project by the Indonesian government.
Liu Jinghua Philix, Tenaris Managing Director for Asia Pacific, said the company aims to draw on its global expertise and local capabilities to meet BP’s needs and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project execution.
