China’s Chengde Jianlong has completed the commissioning of a Kocks RSB 500++/4 reducing and sizing block, following the issuance of the Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC), enabling the production of larger-sized specialty steel bars.
The new rolling block has been integrated into the company’s greenfield mill and is capable of producing specialty steel bars in sizes ranging from 60 mm to 160 mm. The installation includes remote-controlled stand and guide adjustments, along with Kocks’ Bamicon Octopus roll shop management system to improve mill setup efficiency and production consistency.
Chengde Jianlong previously installed a Kocks RSB 370++/4 at its existing mill in 2017. The latest investment expands the company’s capability to manufacture high-quality large-diameter specialty steel products for heavy-duty industrial applications.
