Corinth Pipeworks launches largest industrial rooftop solar project at Thisvi plant

Corinth Pipeworks, in partnership with Survey Digital Photovoltaics and Sirec Energy, has electrified Greece’s largest industrial rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system at its Thisvi plant.

The 7.1 MW system, featuring 12,000 solar panels, will generate 10,000 MWh annually, covering about 25pct of the plant’s electricity needs and cutting 4,000 tons of CO2 emissions each year. Installed across two factory rooftops spanning 60,000 m2, the system uses advanced Behind-the-Meter technology for direct consumption.

The initiative helps Corinth Pipeworks exceed its 2025 target of sourcing 80pct of its energy from renewables, supported by a wind farm PPA, while showcasing the role of partnerships in Greece’s energy transition.

Corinth Pipeworks, a division of Cenergy Holdings, operates a facility in Thisvi, Greece, with an annual production capacity of 1 mln tons of steel pipes for energy and construction markets.
