Chinese firm, CSCEC Steel Structure has expanded into Morocco with contracts for two landmark infrastructure projects: sections of the national highway network and the high-speed rail line between Kenitra and Marrakesh.
The highway contract, funded by Morocco’s National Highway Agency, covers the construction of steel bridges using 15,600 tons of steel as part of preparations for the 2030 World Cup.
The second project involves 12,600 tons of steel structures for the 430-kilometer Kenitra-Marrakesh high-speed rail line, which is designed to run at 320 km/h and will be the fastest in Africa once completed.
