Egypt’s steel rebar production surged 37pct YoY to 4.15 mln tons in the first half of 2024.
This growth was supported by the availability of USD and increased exports, according to official data.
Rebar consumption in Egypt reached 3.1 mln tons during the same period, up 10.7pct YoY but down 16.2pct from the second half of 2023.
