UAE-based EMSTEEL Group has supplied 3,000 tons of its high-strength ES600 rebar for the Sobha Hartland 2 residential development in Dubai, further expanding the use of the advanced steel grade across major construction projects in the UAE.
The company said the material is being supplied in partnership with Sobha and will support improved structural efficiency, optimized construction logistics and a lower carbon footprint.
The latest project follows a series of recent ES600 supply agreements secured by EMSTEEL. Last week, the company announced the supply of approximately 5,900 tons of ES600 rebar for the Sealine Residence and Gateway Residence developments in Ajman in partnership with Al Zorah Development.
Earlier this month, EMSTEEL also secured orders for around 41,500 tons of ES600 rebar for major projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, including Al Habtoor Tower, Al Habtoor Grand and Riviera Residences.
EMSTEEL launched ES600 as a high-performance rebar grade designed for high-rise buildings, infrastructure projects and other demanding applications. According to the company, the product can reduce steel consumption, improve construction efficiency and support lower carbon emissions through reduced material usage and logistics requirements. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Emirates Steel has a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons of steel and 4.6 mln tons of cement annually. The group exports to over 70 markets, accounting for 30pct of its sales. The company offers a diverse range of steel products, including wire rod, rebar, heavy sections, and sheet piles.
