Erciyas Celik Boru secures pipe supply contract for Korfezray Metro project

Turkish steel pipe producer Erciyas Celik Boru will manufacture a total of 342 strut pipes for the fourth phase of the Korfezray Metro project, which is being developed by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

The contract is valued at around USD 2.6 mln, with production and deliveries scheduled for completion by July 2026.

The company had also participated in previous phases of the Korfezray Metro project and, with the latest contract, will supply around 900 pipes in total for the project. Erciyas stated that the majority of steel pipes used in the project are being supplied by the company, strengthening its position as a key supplier for the development.

The company also noted that discussions regarding additional supply opportunities for future phases of the project are ongoing.

Upon completion, the Korfezray Metro project is expected to become one of Turkey’s longest light rail systems, with total line length of 35 km and annual passenger capacity of around 101 mln.

Erciyas Celik Boru, part of Erciyas Holding, specializes in steel line pipe production with diameters ranging from 273 mm to 4,064 mm and has annual production capacity of 600,000 tons at its facilities in Duzce and Mersin.
