Erciyas Celik Boru secures USD 15 mln pipe order for domestic water project

Erciyas Celik Boru has secured orders worth approximately USD 15 mln to supply steel pipes for the Sakarya-Kocaeli Provinces Drinking Water Transmission Line Phase I project in Turkey, according to the company’s stock exchange filing.

The orders, received in two phases with the first awarded in May 2026, cover the production and supply of approximately 14,000 meters of steel pipes.

The project is being implemented by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI) under Turkey’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and will transport raw water from Ballikaya Dam to the existing Hizirilyas Water Treatment Plant in Sakarya Province. The investment is part of the region’s long-term drinking water infrastructure development.

Production and deliveries will be carried out in line with the project schedule, the company said.

The latest order follows the company’s recent decision to temporarily suspend production at its Mersin plant and consolidate manufacturing at its Duzce facility as part of a cost optimization strategy amid weak market conditions and lower capacity utilization. The company said the Duzce plant has sufficient capacity to meet customer demand without disrupting deliveries.

Erciyas Celik Boru, part of Erciyas Holding, specializes in large-diameter welded steel line pipes for the energy, water transmission and infrastructure sectors. The company has an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons, and manufacturing pipes with diameters ranging from 273 mm to 4,064 mm at its Duzce and Mersin facilities.
