Italy-based Euroacciai selected AIC Group to modernize and automate its slitter cutting line through a complete upgrade of the plant’s control and automation systems.
The project includes replacing the existing electromechanical system with a PLC-based automation architecture, new drive technology, and integrated safety systems aimed at improving operational reliability, process control, and production flexibility.
The modernization scope also includes installation of a new control panel with DC drives, encoder feedback systems, and a new operator workstation equipped with an industrial HMI interface and distributed automation controls.
According to AIC, the upgraded system is designed to improve diagnostics, operational stability, energy efficiency, and overall plant reliability.
The project will be executed on a turnkey basis, including engineering, installation, dismantling of existing equipment, commissioning, and testing. Installation works are scheduled during a planned shutdown in August 2026.
Euroacciai specializes in stainless steel flat products and operates slitting and coil processing facilities in Italy.
