Eversendai secures major contract for German offshore grid projects

Eversendai Offshore, based in the UAE, has been awarded a significant contract by Spain’s Dragados Offshore S.A.U. for the fabrication of structural steel for offshore converter topsides.

The project supports Germany’s LanWin2, BalWin3, and LanWin4 grid connection initiatives. These projects form part of TenneT’s ambitious 2-gigawatt (GW) program, which aims to double Europe’s offshore grid capacity and accelerate the transition to renewable energy.

Eversendai’s scope of work includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, panel and block assembly, painting, and loadout operations. The work will be executed at the company’s 200,000-square-metre fabrication yard in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, which features 550 metres of quayside for handling heavy and modular construction.

Deliveries are set to take place in phases, with completion scheduled by December 2027.
