Pakistan imported 327,416 tons of finished steel products in April 2026, down by 16.2pct compared with the same month last year, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
However, finished steel imports increased by nearly 30pct compared with the previous month.
During the January-April period, Pakistan’s total finished steel imports reached around 1.45 mln tons, up by 10pct YoY.
