Pakistan’s finished steel imports recorded a significant increase in January 2025, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
The country imported a total of 334,190 tons of finished steel during the month, marking a sharp 53.5pct rise YoY from 217,691 tons in January 2024.
On a month-on-month basis, finished steel imports also saw a substantial increase, rising 59.3pct compared to December 2024.
