Froch to start stainless pipe production at Tanger Tech facility in Q1 2027

Taiwanese stainless steel pipe producer Froch Enterprise plans to start commercial production at its new plant in Tanger Tech, Morocco, in the first quarter of 2027, following trial production in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The plant, being built on around 90,000 sq m, will initially produce 2,000 tons of stainless steel pipes per month, equivalent to 24,000 tons annually. Most of the output will be targeted at European customers, with products serving industrial and construction applications.

Froch expects the Moroccan operation to eventually contribute 15-20pct of its consolidated revenue, with management indicating that products made to European specifications could generate margins above the group average.

The company said Morocco’s proximity to Europe, lower freight costs and shorter delivery times were key factors behind the investment. The Tanger Tech facility will be Froch’s first production plant outside Asia, with the company currently operating facilities in Taiwan and China.

The project was delayed by around one quarter as Froch adjusted and optimized the equipment layout. The company expects the initial 2,000-ton monthly capacity to be absorbed within one to two years if demand develops as anticipated.
