Govt extends anti-dumping duties on welded tubes from Belarus, China

The UK government has extended existing anti-dumping duties on certain welded tubes and pipes originating from Belarus and China for another five years, following an expiry review by the Trade Remedies Authority (TRA).

The measure, effective from January 30, 2026, will remain in force until January 30, 2031, with the existing duty rates maintained at 38.1pct for Belarus and 90.6pct for China.

The duties apply to circular welded tubes and pipes of iron or non-alloy steel with an external diameter of up to 168.3 mm. The measure excludes line pipe for oil and gas pipelines, oil and gas casing and tubing, precision tubes, and certain tubes and pipes used in civil aircraft.

The products covered by the measure are imported under the HS codes: 7306304120, 7306307280, 7306307780 and 7306304920. The TRA initiated the expiry review in January 2026 and recommended retaining the existing duty amounts after finding no basis to recalculate the rates or exclude additional products from the measure.
