Chinese special steel producer Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel has awarded Germany-based Kocks a contract to supply an RSB 500++/4 Reducing & Sizing Block for a new big bar rolling mill.
The new reducing and sizing block will serve as the finishing block on the new production line, enabling the mill to produce 50-160 mm special bar quality (SBQ) products with improved dimensional accuracy, tighter tolerances and higher operational reliability.
The order marks the fourth Kocks RSB supplied to Henan Jiyuan and the 50th RSB installation in China, reflecting the continued adoption of Kocks’ three-roll technology by Chinese SBQ producers.
In addition to the reducing and sizing block, Kocks will supply its Remote Control system for automatic stand and guide adjustments, along with the Bamicon Octopus roll shop management system, which is designed to improve setup efficiency and rolling process control across the full product range.
The project has entered the execution phase, with commissioning scheduled for mid-2027.
Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel Group, established in 1958 and based in Henan Province, is one of China’s leading special steel producers. The company has an annual steel production capacity of around 5 mln tons, manufacturing a wide range of special steel bars, wire rods and other high-grade steel products for the automotive, energy and engineering sectors.
